Eric,

It is so great to work with you once again. I’m so glad we get to keep playing together before you get too many bigger gigs.

Have a great opening,

Eric,

My name is Randy A. and I spoke to you briefly as you were leaving the memorial service yesterday at the Lion's club in Stillwater.  My girlfriend is Angela G. and she is the youngest daughter of the deceased.  I wanted to extend a personal thank you for your performance.  Following the memorial service I heard multiple comments about your professionalism and your abilities during the performance.  The family was amazed by your abilities and your performance was a centerpiece of the services.  Mr. G., the deceased, left very few specifics for his memorial.  One of them, however, was that they have a violinist and that the piece "somewhere in time" be played.  I, personally, didn't know the deceased very well but I found myself rather moved by your performance and the importance it held to my girlfriend's father.

When I told Angie about the hand-written music that you came prepared with for the specific composition of "somewhere in time" she was absolutely floored.  Prior to your performance, some in the family were a bit concerned about the price of your services.  Following your performance, I actually heard the statement "You got all of THAT for only $250?!"  Needless to say, they were amazed and you made a real impact on those close to the deceased.  Your services were worth every dime spent and I think it was absolutely priceless.

I posted the job through Nicole on the U of M "gig board" as I am staff of the U of M.  Even I had no idea what caliber of performer we would get through the U but I, as well, was very impressed.  I was wondering if there is something I could ask of you.  Considering the impact that your performance had on Angie I was wondering if there would be any way to get either your hand-written music or at the very least, a copy of it.  I imagine you put a lot of work into it and would, perhaps, like to hold on to it for any future performances.  I would love to be able to present that image to her as remembrance of the memorial service and your performance of a song that her Dad held so dear.

If you would be willing to provide your hand-written music I would consider it an amazing gift.  Honestly, though, I would love to just have a copy of it if that is possible.  You can reach me at my U of M e-mail or I will also provide my campus mail address.

Thank you again for your services.  You made an indelible impression by even showing up in such horrendous weather.  Your performance was something that Angie and her family will remember forever.

First Lutheran Church, Albert Lea, Minnesota

Dear Eric,

Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful talent. Having such a wonderful orchestra for this event made it very special for everyone. I appreciate every note you played tonight. I hope we can connect again on our next event. Have a wonderful holiday season and all the best for the New Year. This would not have happened without you and connections you made to get this wonderful orchestra. I look forward to playing with you again soon.

Peace, Tim
